Update from Friends of the International Academy of Greenwich – Your School’s Parent Teacher Association.
The Friends of the IAG are parents and carers of students at the school who aim to raise extra money for additional things to benefit the children. Some of the things we have raised money for in the last year include musical instruments and outdoor games.
We also want to build a supportive community to connect parents, carers and children. We do this through family events, like the recent International Food Festival in the Spring.
Parents, Teachers and Carers of the students of the IAG automatically become ‘Friends’ of the IAG.
We use Facebook, email and Twitter to keep in touch with ‘Friends’. You can find us on Facebook for all upcoming events by searching for Friends of the International Academy of Greenwich.
If you do not want to receive communications, or be contacted directly by the Friends of the IAG, please contact email@example.com by 31 August 2019 to opt out.
We will publish a few activities early in the Autumn term, and look forward to a new school year.

School Money/School Lunch Reminder
The school lunch menu can be found HERE or HERE. This menu will remain in place until the half term break in October. We will begin the academic year in September on week 1 of the menu. Please be aware that the meat option each day is NOT Halal.
Please remember to make bookings through the School Money website at least 24 hours in advance, even if your child is entitled to Free School Meals. If you are having trouble logging on to the School Money system or have any queries, please do not hesitate to call the Academy, or email your query to email@example.com. Next academic year’s bookings will be live from mid August 2019.
Free School Meals
If you believe your child may be entitled to Free School Meals, please follow the instructions to the Free School Meals Eligibility Checker HERE. The link can also be found in the ‘IAG Blog’ section of the new website. It is a free service, and if eligible, you will be issued with a certificate of eligibility on completion. Please save this, and email the certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading ‘FREE SCHOOL MEALS’. By checking your eligibility and providing us with the proof, you help the Academy to secure more funding through the DfE.
Please see the 'Request For Academy Hold Medication' form HERE. This must be filled out if your child will require medication throughout the school day. Students should not be carrying medication on their person around school - it should be handed in to the front desk at the start of the day so that we can securely store it for your child to use at specified times under the supervision of a first aider. Without this completed form, the Academy will not be able to give out medication.
For general parent/carer inquiries via email, please contact: email@example.com
Parents must not drive or park on Meadowcourt Road when picking up students. Parking and traffic on this road is strictly for residents only. Please respect these wishes from the residents and be mindful that school children are also using this road. We appreciate your support with this.
